Be sure to bring your appliance to every appointment
How much do I wear my Appliance?
Your appliance is to be worn 24 hours per day unless otherwise instructed by Dr. Bergsma.
Do I eat with my Appliance in my mouth?
Do not eat with your appliance in. When you take it out, be sure to put it into the case.
How do I care for my Appliance?
The appliance should be brushed at least two times per day with toothpaste.
Appliances will break or chip if they are dropped. If they are placed in a pocket you may sit on them and break them.
Be sure to keep your Appliance in your case when it is not in your mouth.
An appliance that is wrapped in a napkin or tissue can be tossed in the trash.
Flipping appliances in your mouth or chewing on your appliance will cause breakage or damage. Please keep it on your teeth.
Pets like appliances. Be careful to keep your appliance away from all animals.
Keep your appliance away from heat. The plastic can melt and distort if heated.
Be sure to remove your appliance while playing sports
There are additional fees if your appliance is lost or damage
Your appliance is a very important part of your orthodontic treatment. Teeth will shift rapidly if appliance is not worn. If you lose or break your appliance, please call our office right away.
